Peter Yatsik Ukrainian Studies Program

Sauve Scholars Program
Sauve Scholars Program for a maximum of fourteen scientists enables young leaders from around the world to spend eight months in Montreal, attending McGill University education courses to enhance their understanding of the current situation in the world and their role in achieving positive changes. The scholarship is valued at 30,000 Canadian dollars. Since its establishment 45 young scientists from 37 different countries have been awarded Sauve scholarships.
Scientific research for a degree
This program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade is designed for graduate students of higher education institutions with the right to award academic degrees, whose dissertations relate to Canada. The program aims to spread knowledge and understanding of Canada, as well as support the development of Canadian studios. Remuneration provides funds for international flights and apartments rental for the period of more than 10 months in Canada for the scientific research purpose.
 
Canadian-Ukrainian Parliamentary Program
 
 This program has been established by the Chairman of Ukrainian Studies Foundation in Toronto on the occasion of the first centenary of the first Ukrainian immigration to Canada. It enables students from Ukrainian universities to work and study in the Canadian Parliament and aims to give these students the necessary knowledge in order to encourage them to contribute to a stable and successful future for Ukraine. It also gives the Ukrainian students an opportunity to get acquainted with the concept of the law supremacy as it is practiced in Canada.
Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program
Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and offers to the citizens of other Commonwealth countries the scholarship to study in Canada. This scholarship allows to study under advanced educational programs in Canada, taking advantage of international education. This is a good chance to get an education and to broaden their knowledge of the culture, values ​​and history of Canada. 
Research grants for the Department of Canadian Studies
This program allows particular scientists from higher education institutions to conduct short-term studies of Canada and some aspects of Canada’s bilateral relationship with other participating countries. The aim of the program is dissemination of knowledge and insight into Canada through publishing corresponding articles in foreign and international printed press. The grant covers expenses for the research project and provides the research group with flight tickets and weekly apartment rent during the research trip to Canada, if approved.
 
Fellowships in Canadian Studies for postgraduate students
The program serves to dissemination of knowledge and insight into Canada through publishing corresponding articles in foreign and international academic press. The reward is used to cover expenses for the research project as well as to provide the flight tickets and weekly apartment rent. The fellowship is backed by the Department of External Affairs and aims at providing you with a wide range of academic data and resources in Canada.
 
Internship in Canadian studies
The International Council for Canadian Studies allots grants and fellowships enabling you to visit a Canadian or another foreign university in order to gain or expand your teaching or academic experience. The International Council for Canadian Studies hopes that the program will be useful for you both professionally and personally.
 
Additional fee remission in Quebec
The Department of Education provides you with an opportunity to visit and study in Quebec without paying any additional charges as a foreign student. This program allows you to get international education for the same fee students in Quebec pay. The Department expects this program to spread interest in French and the culture of Quebec abroad, back international academic cooperation among universities and promote bilateral relations between Quebec and partners.
 
Partnership for the future. Phase II
Partnership for the future. Phase II is a framework for allotting grants and fellowships for traveling developed to make a contribution into democratic and economic reforms in the Balkans, Central Asia and countries of Eastern Europe. The program is backed by the Canadian International Development Agency and supervised by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada.
The program admits participants from Canada or immigrants who have acquired residency status from any of ten designated countries. These countries are: Azerbaidzhan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Tadjikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. Please remember that the list of the countries can be changed throughout the duration of the program.
